The Colorado based gaming firm Century Casinos Inc. has announced that it is planning to expand its operations across Canada.

Century Casinos has begun building work on a new racetrack and casino and is preparing to run slots and table games on-board ferries.
The new project is to include a fully functional racetrack alongside a casino which will consist of 550 slot machines and an off track betting site.
Furthermore, there will be a bar, a lounge and a restaurant. The venue is costing around $23 million to build.
In addition to the Calgary project, Century Casinos has also formed an agreement with Nova Star Cruises to run casinos on ferries that sail between Yarmouth Nova Scotia and Portland Maine. The agreement will see up to 70 slots and table games installed on various ferries which will be available to passengers on-board the ships.
Century Casinos already has experience operating on-board cruise ships and ferries. The company has agreements with cruise lines such as Oceania, Windstar and Regent Seven Seas. The ferry service between Yarmouth and Portland is set to resume later this year and is a great opportunity for Century to enter the Canadian ferry market.
