Last Tuesday Microsoft announced the launch of its new Surface tablet which looks to be a good choice for mobile gamblers thanks to its OS, size and portability.
The 10.6” tablet will sell for $499 for the 32GB model without a keyboard and $699 for a 64GB model with keyboard.
It will be running Windows RT, a version of Windows 8 designed especially for tablets. The tablet includes two HD cameras, a kickstand and ports for USB, microSD and HD video out.
While it is not as small as the iPAd mini, the Microsoft Surface tablet is still extremely portable, an essential feature for mobile gambling.
Thanks to the size it is easy to put mobile bets on where ever you are and enjoy the gambling experience.
While it doesn’t have as many apps as iPad or Android tablets, Microsoft is rumoured to be willing to pay for developers to release titles for the platform. Furthermore, Google and Apple can be restrictive about what gambling apps are allowed in their app stores, however, this is not expected to be a problem with the Surface.
Finally, Surface is expected to support flash which many no-download casinos fun on, Apple currently does not support flash, nor do some Android browsers.
