When going on cruises many people forget how much all the little extras can cost and one of the biggest offenders is of course alcohol.
However, now some cruise companies are beginning to introduce all-inclusive packages.
The latest trend in cruising seems to be “beverage packages” with around five cruise lines offering an “all you can drink option”.
For instance the Carnival Cruise Line has introduced the “My Awesome Bar Program”. The program costs $42.95 per person per day as well as a 15% gratuity charge.
On this program all wines by the glass, beer and cocktails which cost less than $10 are free, while full bottles of wine and drinks above $10 have a 25% discount.
On Oceania Cruises have introduces the House Select package at $29.95 per person per day. This gives guest house wine by the glass and beer with lunch and dinner.
There is also a premium package which costs $49.95 and includes beer and premium house wines by the glass as well as most drinks on the bar menu.
It is also possible to order beer and spirits from room service.
These are just two of the options available, should this trend continue then more details are sure to appear.
