This week the Peterborough Petes will take on the Belleville Bulls for the second time in a week.
Last week the Petes beat the Bulls to end their five match losing streak and the Bull are sure to be out for revenge.
However, despite last week’s result, the bookies very much favour the Bulls to win this round.
There are odds available of 1/4 on a Bulls victory while the best available on the Petes is 27/5.
Last week’s game came down to a shootout and the Petes won it 4 -3. In last week’s game Stephen Pierog scored twice and Francis Menard also hit the back of the net.
Nick Ritchie scored the winner in the shootout getting the puck through Charlie Graham’s pads.
While the game was low scoring both goalkeepers made numerous saves, Pete’s goalie, Giugovaz, made 31 of them and Graham made 29.
After the game Giugovaz said that, “winning in shootouts is always great but it would have been nicer to win in regulation. We did it the hard way but came out on top.”
Because of the way last week’s match was won, this week’s is sure to be all the more competitive. Despite the bookies’ odds it’s likely to be a hard fought match.
