Canada’s national football team is likely to undergo major changes after their defeat by the Honduras last week.
For starters it wouldn’t be so surprising if Lars Hirschfeld disappeared from the squad, while he is young enough to last another World Cup qualifying cycle, there are younger options appearing such as Milan Borjan and Maxime Crepeau.
Another player that could disappear is Nik Ledgerwood, he has been appearing regularly in Canada’s midfield but despite at moments showing what he is capable of, most of the time he was almost invisible against Honduras.
Canada’s captain Kevin McKenna also had a tough time, despite regularly winning headers in the box against every team, he rarely manages to score.
In the last match he looked very unreliable and it was his fault that the Honduras scored their opening goal.
However, it is not all that bad, Atiba Hutchinson is a very talented player.
If he wasn’t around it Canada would probably have been eliminated long ago. He is technically excellent and a brilliant midfield player.
David Edgar is also extremely valuable to the team; he is a good attacker and can certainly score. He’s sure to be around the national squad for a while.
