In two months fans of Star Trek video games will be able to explore the U.S.S. Enterprise in greater detail than ever before playing Star Trek: The Video Game.
Brian Miller, the senior vice-president of Paramount Pictures and the game’s executive producer, said that “One of the great joys of video games is the opportunity to take audiences to places that are only hinted at in traditional film and TV projects.
Giving gamers the opportunity to explore the U.S.S. Enterprise is one of the more exciting aspects of our video game and one that we can’t wait to share with Star Trek fans and gamers worldwide.”
Players will assume the roles of Kirk and Spock doing battle against the Gorn. As the battle takes place players will venture deeper into the ship exploring the bridge, transporter room, engine room, turbolift shafts, the observation lounge, engineering decks and officer’s quarters.
Miller says that the “goal from day one was to make sure that the Enterprise looks, feels and even sounds as true to life as anything players have ever seen.”
The game will be released on April 23rd for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
